Jamison G. White
Jamison G. White joined the practice of Bennett & Heyman, P.A. in 2018 with a focus on medical malpractice, wrongful death and catastrophic injury litigation, including both product liability and serious motor tort actions. Prior to joining Bennett & Heyman, Mr. White had a successful 12 year career as a partner at Silverman Thompson Slutkin & White in Baltimore where he also represented victims of medical negligence, wrongful death and catastrophic injuries caused by medical malpractice, product liability and serious motor torts.
Mr. White began his legal career at one of the Mid-Atlantic’s largest defense firms, Miles & Stockbridge, P.C., where he spent 6 years defending both medical malpractice and product liability cases. While at Miles & Stockbridge, Mr. White represented some of the region’s largest hospitals, premier doctors, and multiple Fortune 500 companies in these matters. It is this experience that gives him tremendous insight on how insurance companies, health care providers, hospitals and major product manufacturers think, strategize and defend against claims for medical negligence, product liability or serious personal injury. This perspective has enabled Mr. White to recover over $250 million dollars on behalf of his clients who have been the victims of medical negligence, catastrophic injury or wrongful death.
Mr. White grew up in Granville, Ohio. After graduating cum laude and with Honors in history from Davidson College (Davidson, NC) in 1997, Mr. White received his J.D. (cum laude) from Case Western Reserve School of Law (Cleveland, OH) in 2000. While at Case Western, Mr. White served as the Managing Editor of the Law Review, was elected to the Order of Barristers and was a National Finalist in the National Moot Court Competition. He is admitted to practice in Maryland, District of Columbia, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He has also appeared in nearly a dozen federal courts around the country through his previous pro bono experience prosecuting international child abduction cases while working in conjunction with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in Alexandria, Virginia. Through these efforts, Mr. White was part of the legal team that was the first to repatriate a child who had been abducted from Spain (and sequestered in the United States) back to his home country under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, a multilateral treaty to which the United States is a signatory.
